Audrey is a passionate civil litigator, practicing across a broad spectrum of subject matter. Her practice at Ashmead Law is informed by her background in corporate litigation, personal injury litigation, and insurance.   • Ralmax Properties Ltd. v. Pt. Ellice Properties Ltd. and Fred Berman, Victoria Registry No. S183402: Audrey second chaired for one of the longest commercial trials in Victoria’s history. The subject was a large piece of industrial land in downtown Victoria along the Inner Harbour. The trial consisted of 27 witnesses for the client, and over 1,000 tendered documents. Audrey cross-examined professionals working in the areas of law, real estate, accounting, steel manufacturing, environmental consultancy, and business management.
  • LaFleur v. Kesterke, 2020 BCSC 1859Audrey second chaired in a complex personal injury case where the plaintiff alleged brain damage. The opposing party claimed over $3,000,000 in damages. Audrey successfully defended the claim, resulting in the appropriate award of $36,400.
  • Morrison v Koschzek2019 BCSC 945: Audrey second chaired in a multiweek trial in a personal injury case. Audrey fastidiously cross-examined expert medical professionals, including in the fields of otorhinolaryngology and neurology. Her legal advocacy ensured the inclusion of key evidence at trial.
  • Experience with an array of clients: Audrey’s legal practice is informed by her background serving large insurance corporation clients as well as small business clients. This provides her with valuable insight that allows her to effectively manage all sizes of corporate clients.
  • Business systems and databases: Before entering law school, Audrey built databases and consulted on business management systems for accredited educational bodies and large non-profits.

  • Bachelor of Commerce, 2013: Audrey graduated in 2013 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Business Technology Management and minoring in International Business. Audrey gained a keen sense of efficient business systems, informing her advice in the context of the business decisions her clients are faced with.
  • Juris Doctor, 2017: Audrey continued her academic journey at the University of Victoria, earning her Juris Doctor in 2017, honing her advocacy skills.
  • Call to the bar, 2018: Audrey was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018, officially commencing her legal career and demonstrating her commitment to serving the community.

  • Community-minded: Audrey acts as the Privacy Officer for her strata, contributing to the wellness of her home and community.
  • Leadership: Outside the office, Audrey spends time performing and teaching aerial acrobatics, with a focus on supporting those she works with.
  • Pets welcome: Audrey also enjoys spending time with her Velcro dog, Cinnamon, who is very much a forever-puppy in her eyes. You may even catch Cinnamon in the office!

  • Moot court success: Audrey’s team competed at the Harold G. Fox Moot during law school, focusing on intellectual property. Her team earned Honourable Mention for best factum.
  • McCarthy Tetrault Pitching Diversity Grant: Audrey was awarded funds to host events geared towards fostering diversity in the field of law.
  • Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd Scholarship: Audrey was awarded this scholarship for her specialization in Business Technology.
  • Sauder School of Business Exchange Program Award: Audrey achieved academic excellence and was awarded this scholarship for her academic standing and participation in the exchange program.
