  • We have run lawsuits over the transfers of voting shares and corporate assets for succession planning in family-owned businesses.

Powers of Attorney

  • We have dealt with lawsuits over the exercise of Powers of Attorney, including keeping proper records, providing an accounting, and abiding by the rules against self-dealing. We have worked with solicitors and accountants to obtain the evidence to support our clients.

We were counsel in court over an application for the appointment of a legal guardian in a lawsuit over shares.

Family trusts

  • We have advised trustees and beneficiaries on the control of trusts, the use of their assets, and claims by beneficiaries. These have included trusts over corporations with major assets, ongoing operations, or complicated share-structures for tax-planning.
